Fiat Grande Punto to be Launched Soon

Fiat Grande Punto was intially unveiled in India for the Auto Show 2008 held in New Delhi. Since then it has managed to keep up the buzz just like Jazz. This high end hatch back first went on sale in 2005 globally.
From then it has got many recognition for the innovative design and sharp performance. The Grande Punto has won car of the year awards from many countries including Brazil, France and Italy. The cutting edge design fetched the Autocar Magazine’s design award in the year 2006.
So what made Grande Punto so much loved worldwide?
This super mini from Fiat is really a big one to fit in the compact car segment. The Fiat Punto is a car that is made by combining beauty, solidity and brilliance. This new hatchback is built on the platform of Fiat Linea.
Fiat Linea is in fact the sedan version of Punto. Launched in 2007 in India Linea has won many hearts here. This outstanding response for Linea that was received in India led to the release of Grande Punto.
The Punto has an all new chassis and body shell. This third generation super mini from Fiat is available in petrol and diesel variants. In India Fiat will sell Punto in 3 versions- Active, Dynamic and Emotion. With the Punto Active featuring a 1.2L engine where as Punto Dynamic and Punto Emotion will have 1.4L petrol engine.
The multi-jet diesel engine version will have a higer fuel economy. Also the performance will be better. And all the engines are Euro IV compliant making it an eco friendly car. Now coming to the safety, Punto has passed Euro NCAP crash test with 5 star rating. This car is built in India as a Fiat-Tata Motors joint venture in a new plant in Ranjangaon in Maharashtra
The Fiat Grande Punto is quite decently priced for its features unlike Honda Jazz. The petrol version Dynamic and Emotion will come at a price range of Rs. 4,50,000 and Rs.6,00,000. And the diesel version would cost anywhere between 5,25,000 and Rs.6,50,000.

Fiat Grnade Punto is having great sporty looks and great handling support. Punto engine is very well refined and generates great punches. Fiat and Tata JV gives a great boost to sales of Fiat cars because of better car servicing networks.
