India Tops In BMW’s Record Sales
BMW is picking up in the Indian market quite fast. The German Luxury car making group sold a record of 350,000 in the initial quarter of this year. And this was contributed very much by the booming Indian consumers.
Reports say that BMW sold 862 cars in India in this time. This averages to a high of 800 percent hike in the sales so far in the country.
This new record figure is 5.7 percent more than last year’s sales for the same period. The company even managed to sell 85 top-notch luxury icon Rolls-Royce Phantom limousines this year.
The demand for luxury cars are increasing in India and so are the luxury models. I also came across that BMW will crossing the sales figure of Mercedes-Benz in India. The BMW market is more stable in India compare to China. The company was planning to roll out their hatchback version to India by 2009 but now the launch is delayed.
