Nano Flying to U.S in 2011
The 1 lakh car from India has grabbed attention world wide. Now the Tato Nano is gearing up to take on its wheels in the express highways of U.S.
Well, we don’t know if Nano can pick up the pace in super express highways. This super compact, fuel-efficient, city car with the most attractive price tag is expected to win over hearts there.
A spokesperson from the Tata confirms that it has plans to export the Nano to U.S. by 2011. The deal will be finalised if it could meet the safety and emission standards there.
The Nano in India comes with no airbags or elctronic stability systems. But in U.S the electronic tire pressure guage and atbility systems are must. Moreover the antilock brakes and airbags are required to pass over the security standards.
If the Tatas could meet all these requirement there is still one more hurdle to cross. Finding the best dealer. One thing is sure, Nano will be priced a bit high in U.S.
There is no doubt that Nano will be a hit in the US. Tata Motors is woking on upgrading the Nano to meet the standard specficitations before launching it in to the global market.
